The 2019 Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert series is winding towards its end, with the final concert taking place on Sunday 31 March when popular South African artists GoodLuck and Easy Freak will be entertaining concert-goers.
This final concert for the year will not only end the Summer Sunset Concerts line-up on a high note, but will also, serve as a fundraising event for the SANBI (South African National Biodiversity Institute) Kirstenbosch–South Africa Chelsea Flower Show Exhibit at the annual Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show, taking place in London from 21 – 25 May.
This is the 44th year in a row that South Africa will have a presence – through the South African National Biodiversity Institute and Kirstenbosch – at the Chelsea Flower Show which is the most famous flower, landscape and garden show in the world.
The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts have become renowned for serving up some of SA’s top musical talent on Sunday evenings and this annual event is much anticipated by Capetonians, who flock in their droves to soak up world-class live music in a unique and awe-inspiring open-air setting.
March 31 st event promises not to disappoint, with GoodLuck’s music being an irresistible blend of electronica and pop, with subtle influences of jazz, while Easy Freak’s music is a natural fusion of pop, hip-hop, funk and soul. The two bands will be sharing the Kirstenbosch stage to bring a memorable performance.
Bring your blankets and picnic baskets and come and watch two of SA’s top musicians performing live – and support a great cause at the same time.
