Heartbreak Hotel pays tribute to many music greats

Heartbreak Hotel will pay tribute to many music greats during the show’s run at the GrandWest Roxy Revue Bar every Wednesday to Saturday between Friday 18 April and Saturday 31 May.

If you are a fan of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, Marilyn Monroe, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Cliff Richard, Cher, The Beach Boys, Queen, Roy Orbison, The Bee Gees, Tom Jones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Richard, Shakin’ Stevens and many more, then Heartbreak Hotel is the show for you.

A talented cast of 10 performers are waiting to take the audience on an entertaining musical trip down memory lane.

Heartbreak Hotel’s play list includes many of Elvis Presley’s greatest hits as well as other performer’s hits such as I Want to be Loved by You, Great Balls of Fire, Unchained Melody, La Bamba, Good Golly Miss Molly, Wake Up Little Suzie, Staying Alive, its Not Unusual, 40 Days and Long Tall Woman With a Black Dress. You won’t be short of great songs to get your toes tapping along.

Heading the cast is its producer and director James Marais, well known for his Elvis Presley tribute shows, Ian Black on drums, Louis Coetzee on lead guitar, Vernon Barnard on acoustic guitar and vocals, Anthony Kinsey on bass guitar and backing vocals, Nick Pay on keyboards and vocals, Monique Cassells on lead and backing vocals and Claire Schrickker and Jenny Beck as backup dancers. The MC for the show is Fanie Schoeman.
