Jam-packed outdoor entertainment and activities are scheduled for summer fun at the summer fun at the V&A Waterfront.

The Zip Zap Circus returns to the Waterfront in January, holding daily performances at the Amphitheatre from Wednesday, 13 January to Sunday, 17 January. Zip Zap performers are sure to bewitch audiences with their acrobatic, trapeze and contortion skills in their daily performances between 4 to 5pm.

Famous rock classics like you’ve never heard them before will engulf the V&A Amphitheatre on Saturday, 16 January, with party, rock, mash-up act the Rockerfellas taking to the stage at 6.30pm. Known for delivering famous rock classics at lightning speed in unique, mashed-up formats, audiences can expect a lot of smoke on stage, spandex, sing-a-long, and, importantly, fun!

The first Summer Sessions performance of 2016 belongs to Al Bairre, an indie-pop band with a classical twist that will perform at the V&A Amphitheatre on Saturday, 16 January at 6.30pm. Hailing from Cape Town itself, the talented locals combine cello, violin, keys, bass and guitar in their music, creating a sound they call ‘Classic Indie Finger Pop’. Having toured the country and opened for acts like The Hives, Al Bairre received two MK Awards and returned to Cape Town to entertain locals.

The Habitat for Humanity Cyclathon begins at the V&A Amphitheatre on Friday, 29 January at 5pm, finishing a full 25 hours later the following day at 6pm. The proceeds of the hourly raffles will go to the Habitat for Humanity organisation.

Lots to look forward to at the V&A Waterfront.
