Jerry – a solo-play conceptualized by Jeremeo Le Cordeur at Artscape Arena

Jerry tells the story of an ordinary, introverted guy, whose life takes a turn toward the unexpected when he’s the recipient of a mysterious “life changing” pizza delivery.

His life quickly elevates to the extraordinary as he thrusts into a dangerous situation which could end in defeat or a chance at heroism.

From playwright and director, Jeremeo Le Cordeur, Jerry is a fast paced, action packed Comedy/Drama which blends pop culture and our obsessions with the world of Television into an easily watchable, lighthearted theatre experience.

“I have always been fascinated by the world of comic books and superhero-like characters. It’s been such a powerful tool to inspire and empower. – Transplanting this concept onto stage excites me.” says Le Cordeur. “Jerry’s journey is an aspirational tale encouraging viewers to be brave when facing adversity. – It’s grounded, to the point that you believe this could just happen to you.”

Vulture Productions, an independent production & design platform founded by Le Cordeur in 2010 encourages the creation of original South African works. It has made a name for itself for courageously breaking away from the status quo and offering edgy, thought-provoking productions
