Kunskamer celebrates 42 years of art connoisseurship

Since 1971 the Kunskamer has been a reference point for fine South African art.

The current exhibition pays tribute to Louis Schachat’s pioneering role in the art arena.  Louis, who passed away this year was a man whose opinion counted.  He had a most discerning eye and was always forthright in his opinion.  Many outstanding collections have Louis to thank for his impeccable guidance.

The Kunskamer was established by Louis and Charlotte and will continue to be run by Charlotte who is focused on carrying on the gallery’s role as dealers in fine South African art.

Happy 42nd birthday to the Kunskamer and your  loyal admirers look forward to joining you on your 50th.
