A fun day geared to families and the whole community.
Inspired by the Ciclovia in Bogota, Colombia, where a temporary network of 120 car-free kilometres throughout the city attracts over a million people every Sunday, the Open Streets movement in Cape Town follows up its success in May this year by once again liberating Lower Main Road, Observatory, for pedestrians, stilt walkers, skateboarders, cyclists and people in wheelchairs. Jumping castles, outdoor lounges, hopscotch and street art are among the many other attractions.
