Masterclasses are one of the highlights of the Plant Powered Show – the first of its kind to be held on the African continent. The show takes place this weekend at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, with doors opening on Friday, May 27 at 14:00 and closing on Sunday May 29 at 17:00. As part of this three day event, which is aimed at those looking to live and enjoy a healthier, more conscious and sustainable lifestyle has to be the programme of exciting and informative Masterclasses, which will be held hourly each day and which will feature well-informed chefs and award-winning mixologists hosting interactive hands-on food and drink workshops.
Masterclass tickets costs R145pp/ There are 18 to choose from, and ticket holders can attend as many as they like on any day, as long as they are also in possession of a general admission ticket (R250pp). Says Warricker: “The masterclasses are not aimed solely at vegans and vegetarians but will also appeal to sports enthusiasts and those looking for healthier, more ethical lifestyle choices for themselves and their family.” Warricker also points out that due to Covid protocols, space is limited so it is essential to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Due to their hands-on nature, the masterclasses are only available to those attending the show in person and not available to online visitors.
