Open Streets takes over Belville – your chance to experience the joys of car-free streets on Sunday 25 November 2018!

Cape Town’s favourite rapper Youngsta CPT (see photo above) will be performing for the crowds in the Bellville CBD when the Greater Tygerberg Partnership will present the hugely popular Open Streets Day in Bellville. The event will be opened by Cape Town’s Executive Mayor, Dan Plato.

This is your chance to experience the joy of car-free streets, where you can walk, cycle, skate, play, dance, explore and connect with friends, family and neighbours. The Greater Tygerberg Partnership joined forces with the Open Streets event as part of their strategy to build a connected community in Bellville.

The Bellville Market will also take place in the Teddington Walkway in Bellville CBD and other activities include a five-a-side soccer tournament, street art, music, food, dancing, sports and face-painting, among others.

WHERE & WHEN: Voortrekker Road will be closed to cars between Durban Road and Robert Sobukwe Road, and open to people for the packed programme of activities from 9.00am to 2.00pm.
