Musa Ngqungwana - songs by Brahms, Ravel, Quilter and Finzi

Musa Ngqungwana, bass-baritone, and Jeremy Silver, piano, present some ravishing songs by Brahms, Ravel, Quilter and Finzi in this second Distinguished Alumni Recital Series celebrating the international success of Opera UCT alumni.

This concert will be preceded by the book launch of Margaretha Deysel Stemmet’s South African Envoys of Opera. Her book is a treasure trove of biographical and artistic information about the many South African singers who have carved out important operatic careers internationally. Jeremy Silver will be in conversation with Margaretha Deysel Stemmet from 5:30-6:30pm in the Baxter Concert Hall and guests are invited to join for a sundowner glass of wine before the evening recital. Free entry to the book launch and donations will be gratefully accepted at the door.
