Written by Peter Hayes, Sadako is a puppet theatre production for adults and older children based on the life of Sadako Sasaki.

At two, Sadako survived the Hiroshima atomic bomb but 10 years later she developed leukemia.  A Japanese legend tells: “If you fold 1 000 origami cranes, your wish will be granted”. Sadako began folding paper and her journey of hope in the face of devastating tragedy is a universal one.
