Rockville 2069, South Africa’s biggest original, fully orchestrated, technologically sophisticated rock musical production, will have its world première with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) at Artscape Opera House from 29 August – 7 September.

Librettists Johnny Ray (Composer) and Bruno Paiola have secured the most astounding talent the country has to offer.

Playing the lead role of Papa is the esteemed Joseph Clark of Queen at the Opera along with a cast of 25, the Kyle Petersen 7 piece rock band and CPO.

The take-home message is one of sustainability with a  plot that tells of an earth destroyed by man’s neglect and climate change.

The rollercoaster story kicks off from there, encompassing the many themes of survival – which, of course, include love.

The glittering Red Carpet Première takes place on 30 August 2014 at Artscape,  with the  grand foyers themed out by Jay Jays and Bothners /Roland and the menu includes complimentary wine (Hill & Dale) and canapés .
