NEWS FLASH: Due to unforeseen circumstances, this concert has been postponed. New date and details to follow soon….

A fundraising Stellar Concert concert for the Inkwenkwezi Foundation will take place in the Artscape Opera House on Tuesday, 10th of October 2017, at 19h30.

The event titled ‘A Stellar Concert’ is produced by Fine Music Radio presenter Mzukisi Maketa who holds the charity very close to his heart – “ For the first seven years of my life I went to school in the Eastern Cape. If my feet grew too big there was no money for new school shoes, so I often went barefoot in summer and winter.”

This was the motivation behind joining forces with partner Nokwanda Nkombi to launch the Inkwenkwezi Foundation and creating the campaign – #Everyschoolchilddeservesschoolshoes.

The objective of the organisation being to provide school shoes (and now also uniforms) to school-going children from disadvantaged communities and rural areas. In 2016 the project partnered with Fine Music Radio and so far they have managed to provide more than 600 pairs of shoes to children from a variety of local schools.
