Heather Wares of Two Oceans Aquarium on Sanlam Arts Round Up

Sustainability and conservation projects are an important focus of Two Oceans Aquarium, and Heather Wares, the Communications Officer, focuses on some of these programmes.

Listen to the Sanlam Arts Round Up on Fine Music Radio FMR 101.3fm every Friday at 17h30

Heather explains that the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation, a separate entity, manages these important projects such as Turtle Conservation Centre, Shark Rehabilitation and Wildlife Sustainabilty.

Seals, sunfish, seals and otters in the Cape Town harbour are an example of wildlife in urban spaces. Working with the V&A Waterfront, who are also committed to conservation and sustainability, a Marine Wildlife Walk has been created, with signposts providing you with information along the way.

Listen in to the above podcast of the Sanlam Arts Round Up for more information that Heather shares with us about these important aspects, which are happening behind the scenes.

Coming up on 10 June as another Mouille Point Trash Bash – the location that Two Oceans Aquarium has ‘adopted’ as their local beach. This is always a fun day for children and a great family event.
