The V&A Waterfront Take the Stage Series is a platform for emerging South African musicians and musical ensembles to showcase their talents at V&A Waterfront. These talented emerging artists will perform live in a series of pop-up performances throughout November.

TAKE THE STAGE PRESENTS: Zeke Le Grange Quartet

Cape Town based saxophonist Zeke embodies a number of styles including Funk, RnB, Blues, Afro Pop and Jazz genres. Zeke Le Grange will perform at the Silo District on Sunday, 8 November from 14h00. He has performed alongside many local and international artists, but most notably with local icons such as Jonathan Butler, Caiphus Semenya, Letta Mbulu, the late Hugh Masekela and Judith Sephuma.

Her world-wide performances include opening for luminary greats such as Vanessa Mae, performing for A-lister Jennifer Lopez and sharing a stage with multi-talented John Legend.

Hailing from Cape Town, the young jazz guitarist, Bradley Prince will leave you in awe on Saturday, 21 November outside the NSRI from 14h00. Bradley has performed to great acclaim at the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival in Johannesburg, Jazz on the Rocks in Tieties Baai, and the Mossel Bay Jazz Festival to name a few.

TAKE THE STAGE PRESENTS: Jenny and the Jameses
Sunday, 29 November 2020 |  Clock Tower  |  Cost Free  |  Time 13h00 – 14h00

Formed in 2015, Jenny & the Jameses (see photo above) are an Original Celtic folk band who will get you dancing on Sunday, 29 November at the Clock Tower from 13h00. After releasing their second album, the band then embarked on a tour to Holland and were invited to perform as opening act on the Holland leg of Johnny Clegg’s world tour. In 2019, the trio were invited to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they were enthusiastically received with sold out theatre shows.
