The Cape Philharmonic  Orchestra in collaboration with Fine Music Radio present a family fun concert “All you wanted to know about the orchestra but were too afraid to ask…”

The family fun concert was started  last year under the title, All you wanted to know about the orchestra but were too afraid to ask… On the strength of that sell-out event, the second one took place at the Furgard.

The public had to email questions Rodney Trudgeon about anything they wanted to know about the orchestra. Rodney was the Master of Ceremonies and he would answer the questions with some of the member of the orchestra demonstrating and explaining what their instruments can do. The first concert was with the woodwinds and string players and later percussion.

The programme is not finalised but will consists of the following works:

Thunder and Lightning (Strauss)

Concerto No 1 (Spohr)

William Tell Overture (Rossini)

Radetzky March (Rossini) Trisch Tratsch Polka (Strauss)

This exciting programme will give opportunity for audience participation.
