Transport: Ajax Cape Town vs Kaizer Chiefs @ Cape Town Stadium

The Ajax Cape Town vs Kaizer Chiefs match takes place today, Tuesday 5 November 2013, at the Cape Town Stadium. Gates will open at 16:30 with match kick-off scheduled for 19:30. The match is expected to end by 21:30.

The City estimates that 27 000 die-hard soccer fans will make their way to the stadium for the soccer match, and fans are advised to:
•         Arrive early
•         Avoid peak hour traffic
•         Park on the periphery of the CBD and use the fan walk to access Cape Town Stadium if driving into the CBD. The fan walk will be active and match attendees are encouraged to use it as traffic congestion could be substantial in the CBD.

Public Transport
No parking at or near the stadium will be available to the general public.

Event ticket holders are encouraged to:
•         Use public transport to the Civic Centre bus station and catch the free event shuttle to the stadium
•         Park in the city bowl and use the free event shuttle to the stadium
•         Park at the V&A Waterfront and walk to the stadium

No additional bus and train services have been scheduled before the event and normal tariffs will apply. Limited special MyCiTi services will be available after the event.
