We urge you to take part in a tweet up to help generate votes for Cape Town to become the World Wide Fund for Nature’s (WWF) most loveable sustainable city in the world. Please VOTE and make Cape Town the most loveable sustainable city.
Cape Town is still in the running to be named the world’s most loveable sustainable city but more votes and tweets are needed.
The tweet up, which is a large gathering of tweet-minded people, will be held at 17:00 tomorrow, 18 March 2014 at the Oranjezicht City Farm. Of course, tweeters do not have to be there to take part. Every tweet and Instagram post that includes #welovecapetown is a vote for Cape Town.
Residents are urged to show how much they love their city by voting for Cape Town and by tweeting using #welovecapetown and by posting photos or videos on Instagram.
‘Cape Town is neck-and-neck with Durban at the moment and we need as many votes and tweets as we can get. As the South African Earth Hour Capital, we cannot let Durban win. There are only a couple of days left to vote.
‘On a more serious note, by voting, residents help us to determine how we can become a more sustainable city for future generations and how we can transform the lives of all our residents through more sustainable practices and policies,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic, Environmental and Spatial Planning, Councillor Garreth Bloor.
PLEASE VOTE – just click here. And remeber to tweet and Instagram – it all helps! There are only 4 days left to vote.
