West Coast National Park – and South African National Park is excited to announce it’s the beginning of the 2024 wildflower season at the park!
From 1 August to 30 September 2024, the Postberg section of the park will be open to the public, offering a unique opportunity to witness the stunning seasonal blooms.
During this period, visitors will find that the Geelbek Restaurant is undergoing maintenance. To ensure guests have access to food, three food trucks have been set up in the Geelbek precinct, Tsaarsbank, and Preekstoel areas of the park, offering a variety of culinary options.
Just inland from the secluded harbour of Saldanha Bay, and only 1,5 hour’s drive from Cape Town’s City Centre, one finds the azure waters of the Langebaan Lagoon, focal point of the West Coast National Park. The park is found inside of the Cape West Coast Biosphere Reserve, part of the UNESCO Man and the Biosphere Programme.
Gate times for Postberg are as follows:
9am to 5pm with the last entry at 4:30pm
Gate times for the general park area are as follows:
August: 7am to 6pm with last entry at 5:30pm
September: 7am to 7pm with last entry at 6:30pm
Conservation fees for August and September are as follows (child < 12 years old):
SA adult (with ID) – R110 per person SA child – R55 per person
SADC National adult (with passport) – R169 per person SADC National child – R85 per person
Standard Conservation Fee/International Visitors: Adult – R247 per person Child – R124 per person
