What If? is a visually intruiging group exhibition at The Cape Gallery exploring the ironies implicit in visual imagery, that opens on Sunday 16 at 4pm.
- Do you see what you know or know what you see?
- Are you transported into an incredible but believable world of fantasy?
- Or are you hesitant as there is more than one way of viewing an artwork?
The complexities of the visual language trigger an intuitive response that would take more than a thousand words to describe. You’re invited to marvel at the skill with which the participating artists manipulate reality before your eyes.
For example, are we held in silent suspense before Peter van Straten’s painting ‘Rebirth’ featured above?
