WHAT’S YOUR BUDGET at the Baxter Theatre rates as “Beautiful music and entertaining banter.” and “Simply sublime”.
Starring award-winning performers Tankiso Mamablo and Daniel Mpilo Richards, What’s Your Budget is a night of original music, spontaneous storytelling and conversation between two friends who draw from their creative chemistry and invite you into their creative space to share some magic.
It’s nostalgic, hilarious and charming.
Tankiso and Daniel first crossed paths at UCT Drama school in 2012. Daniel was blown away by Tankiso’s incredible voice during an audition for a show he was producing. Since then, they have developed a friendship, musical partnership and performed in Marc Lottering’s Aunty Merle the musical together.
They continually write new music together and have performed alongside each other in this hybrid show,
under various titles, since 2020. For now, this will be their last show together because Daniel is emigrating to London.
