Capetonian fine artist Zvi Suchet has his debut solo exhibition titled “The Radiant Portal” at the South African Jewish Museum opening on 1 December 2019. Zvi Suchet is the Hebrew name of Marc Hoberman, well known photographer of South African coffee table books.
The exhibition showcases Zvi’s unique style of “Jewish Magical Realism” is a combination of photography and illustration exploring Jewish themes of identity and mystical symbolism. Zvi’s artworks have been described as “a unique and modern refresh of a centuries-old subject” and is aimed at generating renewed interest in Jewish art and culture amongst a new generation.
The exhibition opening will take place at 6:00pm on Sunday 1st December at the SA Jewish Museum, with 0pening remarks by Rabbi Sam Thurgood
