‘Join us for a powerful celebration of resilience through storytelling! The 3rd Annual Khayelitsha Book Festival is back with the theme: “Narratives of the Resilient: Our Lived Experiences Become Our Literature” reads the invitation.

This year, we acknowledge the challenges our community faces without romanticizing them. Instead, we shine a light on the stories of triumph and resilience that emerge from our township. Whether through poetry, fiction, non-fiction, or any other form of storytelling, this festival is a tribute to those who transform their lived experiences into literature.’
