Theatre: Tennessee Williams

Direct from its successful run in the United States comes one of Tennessee Williams’s lesser-known plays, The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore.

Ageing beauty Flora “Sissy” Goforth, the much-married, now-widowed millionairess, is consumed with dictating her memoirs before she dies. Then a handsome young poet, and known gold-digger, arrives. The production combines the talents of director Fred Abrahamse, Marcel Meyer and Charl-Johan Lingenfelder to create a visually striking production of a dense and poetic work.
