David Krut Projects Cape Town, in association with City Soirée, is pleased to present Derek Gripper’s Cassette Locale, a recorded sound performance for eight guitars heard through eight randomly dispersed speakers.
The installation will be opened with a talk and performance by Derek Gripper on Friday 28 November.
Cassette Locale will be accompanied by a visual art exhibition in eight fragments, counterparts to the sound installation, which is inspired by the philosophy of Masanobu Fukuoka, a Japanese farmer who created a method of farming which he called ‘Do-Nothing Farming.’
Each pledge comes with a Casette Locale CD. Pledges cost R130.00 each.
