SanlamĀ hosts the 13th Annual Tafelberg Photography Club Print Exhibition, which showcases the best photographs by members of the club, at the Sanlam Art Gallery in Bellville.
Taking place from 10 March through 3 April, the exhibition features 77 photographs by established and up and coming photographers from the Western Cape.
Affiliated to the Photographic Society of South Africa, the Tafelberg Photography Club founded in 2005 and its purpose is to organise meetings and excursions that provide opportunities for budding photographers to learn from veterans in a supportive and fun environment, including showcasing promising and award winning works by members at this exhibition.
The exhibition forms part of the Sanlam Foundationās programmes to promote the visual arts.
Commenting on the opening of the exhibition, Stefan Hundt Curator of the Sanlam Art Collection said, āSimply put this is a good exhibition of photographs by amateurs presented in a professional manner. The support from Sanlam is mainly in the form of providing the venue and installing the photo exhibits.ā
āWeāre thrilled to host our 13th annual print exhibition with Sanlam. Sanlamās support over the years has allowed us to continue to have a presence, promote our mission to wider audiences, and help society engage all through the art of photography,ā said Mariana Visser Chairperson of the Tafelberg Photography Club
