The Life of Ali Bacher exhibition is back due to popular demand. As Gavin explains, as it ran during the COVID period, people who were reluctant to visit public spaces at that time. This now provides an opportunity to see ‘The Life of Ali Bacher: From the Cricket Field to the Boardroom’ and follow the life story of a giant in the history of South African cricket, known to fans of the sport around the world.

The newly redesigned reception area is part of the extensive maintenance and repair job that was necessary for this beautiful edifice built in 1862. The work was made possible by a grant from the State Department of the US Embassy.SA Jewish Museum

And the new exhibition to look forward to in March, focuses on the 90 year history of the Union of Jewish Women (UJC) who were ahead of their times in much of their outreach work to the community in general. A philanthropic organisation, the UJC made a significant impact in different communities. The Kensington Creche is a local project that has been running for many years
