A meaningful and magical collaboration

The Good Life Show – South Africa’s biggest annual and most important event focusing on conscious and sustainable living announces that it is partnering with Ladles of Love from 31 May to 2 June at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Live Events owns the Good Life Show, and its CEO, Heidi Warricker says this is the perfect fit. “Ladles of Love has achieved so much in not only helping to feed hungry mouths every day but importantly in creating the right environment for food security and food entrepreneurs to flourish in our communities. Their work is truly amazing and salutary, and we are very proud indeed to be partnering with this wonderful organization.”

As partners, Good Life Show will not only feature the incredible work being done by Ladles of Love but also donate R10 of every ticket sold to the charity. The Good Life Show is also helping Ladles of Love to showcase its amazing work with a special ‘entrepreneurs’ pavilion for its associates, and a Social Innovation Hub – a networking area designed to encourage dialogue around social innovation and solutions for today’s social and environmental challenges. Ladles of Love is also creating an inspiring experiential installation at The Good Life Show entrance to illustrate its ‘Feed the Soil’ initiative.

Created out of a single act of kindness in 2014 when restaurateur, Danny Diliberto, served a warm plate of food to a homeless man, Ladles of Love then set up a soup kitchen before being established as a formal non-profit public benefit organization in the food sector. In the last four years, Ladles of Love has expanded and now has warehouses in Cape Town and Gauteng, and a satellite set-up in Northern Cape. Its overriding mission is to provide nutritious and wholesome food to people in need; to support farmers grow natural wholesome food in an economical and sustainable way; to empower food entrepreneurs to grow businesses, create jobs and contribute to our economy; and overall to help people thrive physically, emotionally, and sustainably.
