Zeitz MOCAA will unveil a new limited edition print by current Atelier artist Berni Searle at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2025.at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

The museum first welcomed Searle as its sixth Atelier resident in June 2024. Entitled ‘On Site’, Searle’s residency features selections from previous bodies of work as well as sketches, objects, and publications from the artist’s personal archives. ‘On Site’ situates the artist within her context as an affirmation; with the studio functioning as a site for reflection, observation, and play. The residency is a celebration of this relationship to place.
Join Zeitz MOCAA at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair from 21 to 23 February 2025, at booth I2 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, where they will unveil a new limited-edition print by Searle, alongside a preview of the artist’s new work-in-progress, developed in situ during her ongoing participation in the Atelier.
The Zeitz MOCAA Atelier is an experimental platform and residency located on Level 2 of the museum and occupies a multi-gallery of 400 square metres. In addition to providing an exploratory space for Cape Town-based artists, the Atelier is open to the public, allowing visitors to Zeitz MOCAA access and insight into the artists’ modes of production and processes. Previous residents include Kemang Wa Lehulere, Thania Petersen, Haroon Gunn-Salie, Igshaan Adams, and Unathi Mkonto.
