Alchemy is the first of Deepest Darkest Gallery’s new addition to their winter programme – CURATORIAL opening on 1 June 2022.
CURATORIAL invites a guest curator into the gallery space for a two month period to curate an exhibition independent of the gallery’s regular programme., activating the space with a distinctly new perspective for the duration. This winter, the project launches on Wednesday 1 June with guest curators Francois Irvine, Judy Woodborne and the Haas Collective team presenting Alchemy, an exciting exhibition featuring 23 artists showing a unique selection of local art, design, jewelry and objet and in a contemporary African context.
