The Cape Town Portuguese community will gather together at the V&A Waterfront’s Jetty 2 for their annual Blessing of the Fishing Fleet Festival on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 October.
This annual gathering also serves as a chance to pray for the fishermen and the upcoming fishing season. Join the community for live entertainment, a beer garden and traditional Portuguese food on sale from 12pm to 10.30pm on Saturday, and from 1pm to 8pm on Sunday.
Everyone is invited to join the special Sunday Mass, and the Blessing the Fleet procession through the Waterfront from 10am.
