CHROMATOMORPHIA is the title of the ceramic exhibition featuring new work by John Newdigate and Ian Garrett at EBONY/CURATED, Bordeaux House Gallery, Franschhoek.Â
John Newdigate is renowned for his vibrant, hand-painted vessels and is celebrated for creating richly layered pieces that explore contemporary issues and the natural world, drawing inspiration from his surroundings.
Ian Garrett, a master of hand-built ceramics, contributes his expertise in creating striking, hybrid vessels to this collaboration. His work draws on ancient traditions while pushing the boundaries of contemporary ceramics, building tension between the timeless and the modern.
This exhibition also includes a specific series of new three-dimensional sculptural forms created by John Newdigate that encourage dynamic interactions between surface and narrative.
