RECALIBRATION - An exhibition of new work by Clementina van der Walt

Clementina van der Walt has a new exhibition titled Recalibration opening on Saturday 15 May at 6 Spin Street Gallery.

“In these strange and unprecedented times, I have spent the past year grappling with various challenges, as have we all”, writes Clementina.

“With regard to my ceramic practice, I have revisited my entire ceramic ‘journey’ and pulled together threads which resonate. The works on show are a result of this process.
The focus has been inward, drawing on abstract forms and still life themes relating to the domestic realm which has been my recent and current reality.
The patterns and colours of Kente cloths supplied by Design Afrika complement the exhibits.”

As we are still in lockdown level one, and since many people may surely feel uncomfortable about attending an opening, an online catalogue is available HERE.
If you do choose to view the actual exhibition Covid protocols will be in place.
