The launch EARTHBOX KIDS & FAMILY HOUR is just in time for the start of the school holidays and another good reason to head for the Lourensford Wine Estate in Sommerset West.
EARTHBOX is usually only for children older than 5, but during our daily family hour we are welcoming the very little ones to explore. Children under 5 can visit EARTHBOX for free (tickets for children 5-12 are R100). Stomp in the splash pool, wander the grassy berms, meander the gentle paths and explore the underground chamber to your heart’s content.
From 13 December, children coming to EARTHBOX can enjoy a fascinating audio tour especially created for 5-12 year old visitors. The Discover the Earth tour is a beautifully narrated guide that will take young visitors back in time to understand how the mountains were formed and learn more about the earth-shaking processes that shape our world.
You will soon see the options to add this audio tour to your EARTHBOX experience on booking or you can add it on at the venue. In addition, there are fun activity packs and posters for sale at the EARTHBOX shop

Escape the heat and bustle of the season in the EARTHBOX chamber, taking time to slow down and just be. EARTHBOX is now live with their (optional) fascinating geology audio tour – or choose the guided meditation and sink into a soothing escape.
