Nondwe Mpuma talks and reads from her poetry collection ‘Peach Country’ at the monthly Woman Zone Book Club on Saturday 22 October.
What books have grabbed you this month – Woman Zone look forward to hearing your views! Then they will welcome award-winning poet Nondwe Mpuma who will be in conversation Karina Szczurek.
Nondwe Mpuma is from Lubaleko EmaXesibeni. She is a lecturer and PhD candidate in the English department at the University of the Western Cape. Her debut collection Peach Country was published in 2022 by uHlanga Press. Her poetry has been published in South Africa and in the United States. Her poem “Home” won the 2017 Patricia Schonstein Poetry in McGregor Award.
She is currently based in Cape Town where she co-hosts the weekly readings for The Red Wheelbarrow Poetry..
