Robert Fridjhon goes WILD @ Theatre on the Bay

Multi-award breaking Robert Fridjhon returns to the stand-up comedy fold after a long sabbatical in theatre working with herds of actors.

WILD is a brand-new solo show based on his experiences in wildlife during which he was bitten, kicked and scratched (mostly by people), and then educated by lions. Wild is directed by Alan Committie.

Robert’s stand-up career has taken him through the ranks of Joe Parker’s Comedy Express and John Vlismas’ Comedy Underground where his goonish absurdism garnered a cult-like following. He has also enjoyed great success in some of London’s toughest comedy clubs where his unique brand of humour won him acclaim as well as an invitation to perform on the Main Stage at the Smirnoff International Comedy Festival.

WILD is everything you’ve always wanted to know about the animal world … why you should never surprise a leopard, how we know polar bears are all left-handed, why giraffes are never in horror films and what would happen if a cat won the next elections.

“Fridjhon holds the audience riveted. This is storytelling at its best, wacky and whimsical, told with verve and charm and expertly directed for laughs by Alan Committie.”  Jennifer De Klerk – Artslink.co.za
