Spier Summer Sundowners and it’s time to enjoy live music with Mapumba Cilombo and fresh farm air in the beautiful outdoors.
You won’t want to miss an evening of chilled-out, laid-back sounds while the sun sets over Spier Werf. Between 18h00 and 20h00, you can dance, tap your feet, lounge on the lawn and spend quality time with friends and family.
Mapumba Cilombo is bringing the tunes to entertain you. The multi-skilled musician – he’s a singer, songwriter, guitarist and DJ – hails from Congo and has spent time in Zambia before arriving in South Africa. Inspired by folk melodies and Afropop, Mapumba’s international sound is the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening.
While you’re enjoying the music, we’ll have award-winning wine and plenty of delicious food available. Trust us, we’ve got your taste buds and tummies covered. Here’s what’s on the menu:
– Sip, sample and savour our many wine options at the Wine Tasting station
– Enjoy our pre-booked Spier Summer Picnic or create your own al fresco feast with goodies from the Farm Café
– Grab a pizza from Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery.

About Spier
One of South Africa’s oldest wine farms and a well-known Western Cape landmark, Stellenbosch wine farm. Spier hosts the Light Art exhibition as one of their Growing for Good initiatives, which empower communities to create positive social and environmental change.
A long-standing supporter of the arts, Spier understands that creative works entertain, inform and educate. They often hold up a mirror to society, offering us a chance to reflect. This is why Spier contributes to several annual public arts initiatives and exhibit a significant contemporary arts collection on the farm.
