The UCT annual Summer School 2024, an annual pilgrimage to this festival of learning for many alumni and friends, is back from 13 to 27 January next year.
Participants will be able to attend lectures by their favourite lecturers and many exciting new presenters on fascinating topics, browse the book shops, attend the free film programme, meet old friends and be part of the university community again.
“They will be able to enjoy our In Conversation sessions, bespoke campus tours will be led by Emeritus Registrar Hugh Amoore, exciting excursions, and world-class concerts at the Baxter Theatre” says Medee Rall, Director of Dept of Extra Mural Studies.
And do have a look at the UCT Summer School Curated Heritage Route. Curators Nadja Daehnke, Director of the Irma Stern Museum and Tessa Graaff, Managing Director of Montebello Design Centre suggest some interesting heritage sites close to UCT that are worth a visit. So, if you have some free time between courses, these are noteworthy places – some with a link to UCT – that you could visit.
