“Wild Waterfront”, a full-length documentary, focuses on the vital work of the Wildlife Management team at the V&A Waterfront and will be showing at The Labia from 8 – 10 August.
The film showcases the different team members in their roles as they monitor and rescue urban wildlife in a working harbour surrounded by residential, retail and tourism spaces and activities. Viewers will be astounded by the variety of urban animals, including Cape fur seals, sunfish, birds and Cape clawless otters and will witness their interactions with the urban environment in which they find themselves. By intertwining stories of wildlife and the human team, “Wild Waterfront” seeks to promote a deeper understanding of urban ecosystems and the importance of human-wildlife co-existence.
