The book was launched at Artscape on 8 August, the day before Women’s Day, with a moving tribute by Marlene le Roux, CEO of Artscape Theatre Centre.
Apart from being both inspirational and practical, it also celebrates the 10th and 20th anniversaries respectively of two women-founded NPOs: WOMAN ZONE and SOIL FOR LIFE
At the launch were the 10 of Soil For Life women home food gardeners hailing from areas such as Delft, Khayelitsha, Mitchell’s Plain, Retreat and Pelican Park, all of whose lives have been changed.
