Celebrating The Kalk Bay Shelter with Peggy North auction and Akkedis is all happening at the Olympia Bakery on Saturday 18 May at 7pm.
Peggy North lived in Kalk Bay. She was involved in establishing the Kalk Bay Shelter for the homeless and was known for her community activism. Her watercolour paintings and sculptures form part of her legacy today. A series of paintings which have been donated by her son Bruce will be available on auction this Saturday. The auction will be followed by a performance by Akkedis an Afrikaans rock band. The proceeds of both events go to the Shelter.
