Earthbox Outdoors and Into adventure this school holidays for children who have no time to fuss about a bit of rain when there’s a whole world to explore! So put on a warm coat and some gumboots and let your kids get you out into the elements this winter.
SPECIAL WINTER PRICES TO COSY UP TO
If it includes a tractor ride it’s already an adventure and this is how an EARTHBOX experience begins. From there, children can burn off some energy in the landscape before entering the chamber and taking in the textures laid by millions of years.
- A choice of audio guides are included in the special winter price R180 (adults) and R120 for children (5 – 12 years).
Children can choose from two childrens’ audio tracks that will teach them all about the deep layers of the earth and the surrounding history. There’s plenty to talk about afterwards and souvenir activity packs are for sale that enable little people to explore even further.
Although our winter trading hours are now Thursday-Sunday, we are open this Monday 17 June for the public holiday.
A gentle reminder that children under five can visit EARTHBOX for free during the family hour from 9-10am daily but are otherwise not admitted. This is to ensure other visitors can fully enjoy the stillness of EARTHBOX. Under 5’s can look forward to a special treat when they explore the treasure that is EARTHBOX.
PLAY BY NATURE 29 JUNE
Play By Nature will be giving another EARTHBOX workshop during the school holidays (29 June). Designed for younger children (age 2-8 years old), this wholesome event takes place from 9:00-10:30am (arrive for a 9am tractor ride to the venue) and includes fun natural activities to do inside and outside the EARTHBOX chamber. The kids get to take home their creations too. Parents will have the chance to explore EARTHBOX and refreshments will be for sale. The workshop is R350. Parents or guardians pay R100.

SOLSTICE SOUND JOURNEY SAT 22 JUNE 4 – 6 PM
Eartbox’s winter solstice experience (designed for adults not children), marks the deepest day of winter with an invigorating & restorative sound journey. Deeply relaxing frequencies and resonant tones – created live in the chamber – will evoke a powerful sense of immersion into the sonic landscape; resetting and restoring your sense of wellbeing.
