Winter events that will take place in their chamber

EARTHBOX winter season – a time of nourishment and exploration, bringing you the pause to invest in our own curiosity and creativity.

At EARTHBOX they’re keeping you inspired with a programme of winter events that will take place in their chamber. They’ve prepared the space to keep you warm and dry so here’s what’s ahead in June

IMMERSIVE CLAY WORKSHOP SAT 1 JUNE 3 – 5:30PM

“Through a serene and intentional connection with clay, Jade creates ceramic objects that embody her deep admiration for ancient pottery, feminine energy, and rituals. Her creations are imbued with a genuine passion for the material and its vibrant hues, embracing the natural, irregular textures of the earthy and wild clay.”
Nammu Ceramics
Nurture your inner creative fire this winter. Working with clay is calming and therapeutic, a direct connection to a simple way of life. Set in the ancient clay surrounds of EARTHBOX, this sensory journey will start with a guided audio meditation in the chamber followed by an introduction into several handbuilding techniques to help you make your own creations under the guidance of Nammu’s founder and ceramicist, Jade. By the end of the workshop each person will have made several clay items.

Nammu will finish off the pieces in the weeks following the workshop. The finished pieces can then be collected at Nammu’s studio in Loop Street or couriered for an additional fee.

The cost of R650pp includes clay, tools, finishing and firing of pieces. BOOK

NATURE FIRST THIS SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

It’s tempting to allow for more time on screens as the cooler days set in but EARTHBOX is the antidote!

During the school holidays, EARTHBOX will continue to offer a special family hour for under 5’s between 9 & 10am. Children under 5 enter free – and are welcome to explore the grounds and chamber of EARTHBOX. For older children, there are audio tours to assist in unpacking the adventure.

On the 29th of June, Play By Nature returns to EARTHBOX to host another nature inspired workshop.

Bring your children into an immersive encounter with nature and watch as they connect to the elements and their own creativity.
