Woman Zone and Artscape Women’s Humanity Festival takes place on Woman’s Day 9th August 2024 with the theme #Step-Up for Change.

The Women’s Humanity Walk 2024 will be a small, symbolic gathering of walkers so they suggest you meet at Artscape piazza steps.
• 10:30 for blessings by Muslim, Jewish and Buddhist leaders as well as members of the Cape Town Interfaith Institute
• Keynote speech by Prof Gertrude Fester
• Entertainment by Women Unite marimba band
• Symbolic signing of #Step-Up for Change Pledge
• 12:00 Marble Foyer: Knitting for Kindness knitting circle with Knit and Natter
• 12:00 – 13:00 Woman’s Day radio show broadcast on FMR 101.3
• 13.00: Ballroom Boy, theatre production, in the Arena
• 14:30: The Battered Housewives Club, in the Innovation Lounge
• 18:00: The Dance of the La Gumas theatre production in the Arena
• 19:30: Yeoman of the Guard, a Gilbert & Sullivan Society musical final dress rehearsal in the Opera House. Free tickets for NGOs – contact dial-a-seat Artscape
• 20:00: ABFAB Drag, in the Theatre
